Ghana has been drawn in group E alongside Angola, Madagascar and Central African Republic after the AFCON draw in Johannesburg.
Ghana was part of the seeded teams in Pot 1, with defending champions Senegal, Algeria, Nigeria, Morocco, Egypt and other African powerhouse based on FIFA ranking.
The top two teams from each group are expected to be in Ivory Coast for the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations.
