Ignatius Osei Fosu has revealed Dreams football club’s philosophy was a big factor in his appointment as the club’s new manager.
The former Medeama gaffer was appointed on Wednesday, April 20 to lead the Dawu based club in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.
Dreams FC have been without a substantive head coach after Serbian tactician Vladislav Viric mutually parted ways with the club.
Speaking to the club’s media immediately after his appointment Coach Ignatius was in a buoyant mood as he looks ahead in ‘making career out of the exciting young players’ at Dreams FC.
“It is the project and brand that entices me here and I feel that it is bigger and they will make me big.”
What excites me is the club’s philosophy. I’m a developer, and seeing young players perform at this level excites me and it makes me want to develop them and make a career out of them.
“One thing I want to change is the mentality, for me is about winning mentality. In as much as I will want to develop players, I want them to win because you can’t develop without aspiring to the greater heights so it is about winning.”
Ignatius first game will be against King Faisal this weekend at the Theater of Dreams Park for Ghana premier league match day 26.
