Frank Etouga Mbella has emphasized his desire to bring success back to Asante Kotoko, claiming winning the league is his first objective.
Asante Kotoko head into the latest round of fixtures with a ten-point gap at the league summit-second placed Bechem United set to play struggling King Faisal.
The red-hot Mbella has scored 18 goals breaking Eric Bekoe’s 17 goal a season record for the Kumasi based team in the last 15 years. To break the all-time top scorer for the premier league giants, Mbella has to score at least 8 more goals.
Nevertheless, while Etouga accepts the reasoning behind suggestions he might win the Goal King award, the Cameroonian striker is eager to stress that winning the Goal king is his second objective.
He told startimes after the win over WAFA: “I am very happy. It’s the work of the all the team and the technical team.
“It’s my second object”. When the Kotoko marksman was asked about how many Goals he want to score for the season.
“My First Objective is to win the league for Kotoko. “More goals come, I score.”
