The Black Galaxies recovered from an early scare to beat Sudan 3-1 in the African Nations Championship in Algeria.
Goals from Konadu Yiadom, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Seidu Suraj was enough for Ghana as they came back from a goal to win 3-1.
The Galaxies started the game brightly as they created chances. The only issue was that the team was not efficient in front of goal in the first quarter of the game.
However it was Sudan had a different idea as they broke the deadlock with a delightful build up from the right side of Ghana’s defence leading to Al Gozoli goal.
Yiadom Pulled parity for Ghana as his deflected shot beat the Sudanese goalkeeper.
Afriyie Barnieh delivered a superb penalty to put the Galaxies ahead after moments of a controlled possession.
VAR denied Ghana a goal when Afriyie Bannieh thought he had scored his second goal.
Bannieh’s evening was ended prematurely as he was shown a red card for a rushed challenged on his marker.
Ghana wrapped the victory with a smart finish from Hearts of Oak attacker Suraj Seidu as the African giant sails through the quarters.
