Ghana have been paired with Central African Republic, Mali, Comoros and Chad in Group I of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with the Blackstars possessing a brighter chance to make qualification.
This was revealed during the official FIFA World Cup Draw in Abidjan on Thursday, July 13, 2023.
Ghana are the only country with a world cup appearance in this Group having played at the Mundial on four occasions (2006, 2010, 2014 and 2022)
Winners of each group will qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026 as the four best runners-up (from the Groups) will play in a CAF Play-Off Tournament.
The winner will qualify to play in the FIFA Play-Off Tournament.
The matches will start on the 13-21 November 2023 for ten match days in the next two years.
