UEFA is set to take the Champions League final away from St. Petersburg.
A meeting of the governing body for European football will take place today to discuss the crisis in Ukraine.
It is expected to confirm the showpiece game on May 28 will not now take place at the Gazprom Arena in Russia.
Uefa said it was dealing with the situation with the utmost seriousness and urgency, it added that it shared the international community’s significant concern for the security situation developing in Europe and strongly condemns the ongoing Russia military invasion in Ukraine.
