The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged the Minister of Youth and Sports to initiate process for nationality switch to enable Hudson Odoi to play for the African giants
The Chelsea star paid a courtesy call to the President of Ghana on Monday at his residence, according to the president official facebook handle.
The European champion arrived in his native country on Wednesday night.
“On Monday, 7th June 2021, Ghanaian-born Chelsea footballer, Callum Hudson-Odoi, paid a courtesy call on me at Jubilee House, the seat of our nation’s presidency.” The president statement read.
“Amongst others, I urged the Minister for Youth and Sports to explore the possibility of having Callum switch nationality, and play for the Black Stars.”

Odoi gave the president a signed Chelsea shirt for his visit.
The 20-year old is still eligible to switch to Ghana per the new FIFA eligibility rules
