Asante Kotoko embark on a long trip to Dawu to face Inter Allies FC on Monday, June 14, 2021 for Ghana premier league match day 29.
There all to play for in this encounter as both teams need the points for different reason. Allies need victory to cushion them in the relegation dogfight while Kotoko search for the points to go level with rivals Hearts of Oak.
Inter Allies have won their last three home games in the premiership against Elmina Sharks FC, Berekum Chelsea and Medeama SC – scoring 10 goals in the process without conceding.
Their surge in form hasn’t changed their position in the League table – as they continue to sit at the bottom of the league standings with 26 points.
Kotoko sit in second place three points behind rivals Hearts of Oak. They go into the match on the back of a 1-0 win over AshantiGold SC in last week’s regional derby in Obuasi that saw Fabio Gama score the match winner.
Coach Barreto’s side have won only one in their last four outings with the other three ending in a draw.
Ibrahim Imoro is unavailable due to his involvement with the Black Meteors.
Goalkeeper Razak Abalora and defender Ismail Abdul Ganiyu have joined the team after the International break as striker Francis Andy Kumi is also available for selection after recovering from injury.
