Sekondi based Hasaacas Ladies showed their mettle in the Women’s Premier League after beating rivals Ampem Darkoa Ladies 4-0 in the final of the 2020/21 Premier League on Saturday.

Faustina Nyame headed in the opener from close range to give the record winners the lead in the 11th minute of the game.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies pushed to get an equaliser right after the goal but was denied on two occasions by a brilliant save from Grace Banwa.

In the 30th minute, Hasaacas Ladies deepened the woes of Ampem Darkoa when Evelyn Badu scored from a set piece to extend their lead. Top scorer, Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah was then denied by the wood work when her free kick hit the cross bar.

Ampem Darkoa ladies kept pushing but the shot stopper of Hasaacas was busy on the day with some incredible saves to deny the Techiman based side a goal.

Doris Boaduwaa planted another lovely ball into the net to make matters worse for Ampem Darkoa – increasing the tally to 3-0 for Hasaacas Ladies.

Six minutes from the final whistle, Doris Boaduwaa scored her second of the day – with a lovely finish to put the game beyond Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

The win gives Hasaacas Ladies Ladies their fourth Premier League title and condemned Ampem Darkoa Ladies to their first defeat of the season.

Ampem Darkoa’s Sonia Opoku was named NASCO player of the match for her great performance.
