Ashantigold Sporting Club defender Ampem Dacosta has decided to quit playing for the miners just 16 months in his two-year contract, according to reports
The ex-Asante Kotoko defender joined Ashantigold in 2020, signing a two year contract with the Obuasi based club on a free transfer.
Deep throat Sources reveals that the player has disclosed this decision to the President of the club about his intention to leave. And that a first meeting was held between the player, his representatives and the owner of the club with the second meeting expected to take place this weekend or latest early next week.
The Club owes the player 4 months’ salary and some winning bonuses which the player is ready to forfeit to ensure that management accept his decision to move elsewhere.
Some premier league clubs have already shown interest with the former Karela United centre-back for a permanent transfer.
Despite starring for the Miners in his first season Ampem Dacosta is yet to command a starting spot in the Ghana premier league this season.
