Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko have suspended defender, Patrick Asmah for the remainder of the ongoing 2021/22 Premier League season due to gross misconduct.
The defender will not be part of first team training and matches as a result of the suspension which will last for the remaining season.
“Yes, I have received a communique from the technical team that I have been suspended for the rest of the season,” Asmah told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
Asmah according to reports had a heated argument with the head coach of the club Prosper Ogum after their home defeat to Legon Cities.
Asmah has made ten appearances for Asante Kotoko this season with Ibrahim Imoro dominating at the left back position for the porcupine warriors.
Meanwhile, Kotoko are seven point at the league summit and will be hoping to extend their lead when they face a struggling WAFA for match day 27 in Sogakope
